Your questions answered
What is included in your benefits package?
You can find out more about our benefits here.
Are roles office-based, remote or hybrid?
We expect regular attendance in our offices, however, different teams have different requirements, so individual arrangements may be agreed with your line manager. If you have any questions, we encourage you to discuss this with your resourcing specialist ahead of the application stage or during the interview process.
What is the dress code?
We take pride in the professional image that we convey. All employees are encouraged to dress appropriately for their working day, depending on their commitments. We prefer not to have overly prescriptive rules, as we trust you to use your judgement and to dress with respect for the firm, our clients and your colleagues. If you have any queries regarding what is appropriate for your role or circumstances, please discuss this with your resourcing specialist.
What does the recruitment process typically involve?
For most roles there will be a two-stage interview process. We try to meet candidates in person for at least one stage but full details about whether an interview will be held over Zoom or in person will be provided. For some roles, we may ask you to complete an exercise relevant to the job, or there may be additional interview stages. You will always be given notice of this.
Who do I speak to if I need adjustments made in the recruitment process?
We welcome conversations around adjustments at any point during our application or recruitment process. This could include colour overlay, font changes, changes to the interview environment, the use of assistive technologies, or extra time during the interview or assessment process. This list is not exhaustive, just let us know what you would benefit from, and we’ll do our best to accommodate. Please contact your resourcing specialist to discuss this further.
Can I send in a speculative application?
Unfortunately, we are not able to hold speculative CVs. All applications must be submitted to an advertised vacancy.
I'm having difficulties accessing Workday – who do I contact?
Please contact HR@bailliegifford.com and we’ll make sure the right person gets back in touch to support you.
At what points in the process will I hear from you?
If your application is successful, we will contact you to arrange an interview. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide feedback if you do not make it past the application stage but you will be notified of the outcome via email.
We’re committed to ensuring that everyone we meet, remotely or in person, has a positive experience. Feedback will be provided to everyone following an interview, regardless of the outcome.
Do you reimburse interview expenses?
Please speak to your resourcing specialist who will be happy to discuss your individual circumstances.
Are relocation costs covered?
Please speak to your resourcing specialist who will be happy to discuss your individual circumstances.
