Steven joined Baillie Gifford in 2004 and is head of the Income Research Team. He has been involved in running the Fixed Income portion of the strategy since 2012. He previously worked at Scottish Widows and spent seven years doing research for the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee and managing the UK's foreign exchange reserves. Steven graduated BAcc (Hons) in Economics and Accountancy from the University of Glasgow in 1992 and MSc in Economics from the University of Warwick in 1993.

Julia has been a member of the International Growth Portfolio Construction Group since 2017 and she is a portfolio manager in the Health Innovation Strategy, which she co-founded in 2018. Julia joined Baillie Gifford in 2008 and became a partner in 2022. Julia previously worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, advising firms in Denmark, Russia and Hungary. She obtained a BSc in 1999, an MSc in 2001 and a PhD in 2005 in Economics from the University of Aarhus, Denmark. She is fluent in Russian and Danish.

Megan is a client manager in the UK Intermediaries Team. She joined Baillie Gifford in 2016. Prior to joining Baillie Gifford, Megan worked at Barclays, specialising in private client services. She graduated BSc (Hons) in Geography from the University of Glasgow in 2014.

Cherry has over 20 years’ experience working for a range of national, consumer and trade titles including The Times, Financial Times, The Telegraph, The Independent, Interactive Investor, Forbes and Investors Chronicle. She has co-authored a book on investing in emerging markets and is a six-time winner of the Investment Management Association’s Freelance Journalist of the Year award and eight-time winner of the AIC Freelance Journalist of The Year award. She began her career as a tax accountant for PricewaterhouseCoopers, before moving to investment bank J.P. Morgan.
