1. Overview

The Fund aims to achieve an annualised return over rolling five-year periods that is 3.5% more than the UK Base Rate, after costs; a positive return over rolling three-year periods; and annualised volatility of returns over rolling five-year periods that is below 10%*. We apply our sustainability framework to assess whether portfolio holdings are compatible with a sustainable economy. We also apply revenues- and norms-based screening to ensure certain types of investment will automatically be excluded from the Fund.

*The manager believes this is an appropriate benchmark given the investment policy of the Fund and the approach taken by the manager when investing.
