Showcasing the world’s best non-fiction

We are proud to support the Baillie Gifford Prize for Non-Fiction. Every year, a panel of independent judges considers hundreds of entries in all areas of current affairs, history, politics, science, sport, travel, biography, autobiography and the arts, awarding an annual prize that marks the pinnacle of recent factual writing.

The 26th edition of the Prize saw an author who was the first to 'win the double' of the Baillie Gifford Prize for Non-Fiction and the Booker Prize for Fiction, and a shortlist that tackled issues from colonialism to migration, and organ donation to nuclear war.
